Finally, #SmartKettle is a breakthrough for built-in obsolescence. The commodity kettle is simple and durable, even in its cheapest form; but smart kettle adds electronics, whose inherent vulnerability is multiplied by several orders of magnitude through being placed under a tap with every use. The kettle's journey to landfill has been turbocharged.
So that's what the smart kettle is for. Short life with high cost and end of commodity status equals massive extra profits. Burn, planet, burn.

It appears to be a brilliant example of a solution in search of a problem.
I am not against improvement, and when I sat down to think about it, I was surprised to realise how much the #electricKettle has improved.
