From First Heavy Metal Church Of Christ:
From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.”
Matthew 27:45-46, 50-52 NIV

Can you imagine witnessing this??
The fear..the horror of not only Jesus’s death..but the effects on the natural world around Him.
Darkness at mid day….
Earthquakes….
Splitting rocks…
No…this is no ordinary judgement being dolled out on some random criminal….
This entire scene is supernatural!!!
Another interesting point…there is no way this was only felt locally…
I don’t see how this couldn’t have been felt around the world!!
And when He returns…there will be no denying what’s happening….
It will be witnessed by everyone…everywhere…all at once
Get ready…get your loved ones ready…
For some it will be great celebration
For others…immeasurable sorrow
Either way…He’s coming
