The hotel we moved to is in Potts point. It's a lot more ... sophisticated than what I'm used to.

My usual aesthetic is bright and obnoxious, and it's more ramped up than usual with the beaded bracelets & transparent bag containing #skzoo plushies.

Today I'm wearing my Dangerfield dress with all kinds of nocturnal creatures printed on it, cinched under the bust with a rainbow webbing belt that kiddo lent to me. Plus the skzoo manicure, bag with plushies, beaded bracelet & beaded hairclip. #skzFriendshipBracelets

Oh, and my hair is still curly rainbow cotton candy.

Quite possibly there are other areas of Sydney where this would be a relatively normal look. But not here. 😂

We threw on dirty clothes and got an uber to a proper hotel with beds you can sleep in without having to crawl into a box, and a private bathroom. With *towels*.

I booked a room with 2 single beds, but it wasn't ready for us to check in when we arrived. So we got a free upgrade to a bigger suite with a queen bed & a single, plus a kitchenette area and a sitting area and a wardrobe with coathangers.

It is a cheap hotel but it feels like luxury.

Also: as I was leaving my capsule this morning, someone else came out of theirs at the same time. I had the clear bag with the #skzoo plushies slung over my shoulder. They smiled and looked surprised.

I left the room, but then came back and whispered "are you seeing stray kids tonight?"

And they whispered "YES how did you know?"

Well the skzoo recognition was a good indicator. But also your outfit is entirely red and black ahahah.

The capsule hotel is nowhere near as nice as the First Cabin capsules in Osaka. It's ... okay, I guess. Pretty much just a hostel.

Anyway kiddo and I hung out in the lounge area most of the evening, made our signs for tomorrow (I'll post photos tomorrow), then played Mario Party on their Switch for a bit.

There are no *towels*. I will have to ask reception for towels in the morning. I bet there will be a charge for them

Oh! We also met a stay from Adelaide in the lounge area while we were making our signs. They chose a #HYUNJIN bracelet. I am very glad to have made all these bracelets and expect to find new owners for all of them fairly quickly tomorrow.

Most of the bracelets are in my suitcase and I'm hoping to give them all away tomorrow.

Also the cardboard & markers are in my suitcase in case we decide to make signs. Still not 100% convinced it's a good idea and they might get confiscated. But we could try it anyway and just be cool with the possibility of confiscation.
