The CFP is open for AlmaLinux Day: Los Angeles on July 18, 2026, the Saturday before SIGGRAPH.
If you work on AlmaLinux underneath VFX or any Media and Entertainment animation, rendering, or simulation pipelines, we want to hear from you! That includes pipeline engineers, studio sysadmins, render farm folks, cloud and DevOps people, security pros, students, freelancers, and open source contributors.
A few talk ideas to get you started:
* Anything you wish you hadn't had to learn on your own (I promise, this is one of the best approaches)
* Studio case studies: migrating a pipeline to AlmaLinux, or scaling one on it
* NVIDIA and AMD GPU driver integration, tuning, and the parts that hurt
* Workstation optimization for Houdini, Nuke, Maya, Blender, Resolve, and friends
* USD, OpenColorIO, OpenEXR, MaterialX in real production
* ML and AI workloads sharing a render farm with traditional VFX
* Pipeline tooling, containers, and reproducible builds for artists
* Teaching Linux to artists, and artists to Linux
Highly visual talks are encouraged.
We're right next to SIGGRAPH, so lean into the diagrams, workflow walkthroughs, and live demos.
