Last day of #Shedvent: You fall asleep at last, and awake in your own bed, rested and warm, with breakfast waiting by the fire. And in case you feared it was all a dream, your gifts are still there; the eyeglass, the bauble and the star of hope.
Peace and love, everyone.
Day 24 of #Shedvent: "What are these?" you ask. "They are the dreams and hopes of the Folk," replies one of your fellow-travellers. "Scatter them far, so that they may bring comfort to those still in darkness."
And they tell you this little story. https://ko-fi.com/post/The-Light-Train-W7W0SI9N3
The Light Train

Day 23 of #Shedvent: The Light Train races on through the night, headlights illuminating the snow. On board, in the viewing carriage, a wonderful party is under way, with dancing, and music, and gifts, and champagne. Someone hands you a sachet of tiny, glittering, silver stars.
Day 21 of #Shedvent: The train takes you through the countryside; through forests and snow-covered mountains. From time to time you glimpse the sea, gleaming in the distance. Remembering your magical eyeglass, you lift it to see the world as it is, ablaze with secret energies…
Day 20 of #Shedvent: You board the train. It seems empty. You move from carriage to carriage, admiring the gilding, the velvets, the glass, the gracious vases of lilies and phlox, and almost imperceptibly, the train leaves the station, and picks up speed.
Day 19 of #Shedvent: Its midnight-blue paintwork sleek and unmarked, the mysterious train seems to sense your approach. A door swings open, revealing an interior of velvet banquettes, gleaming brass and glittering crystal chandeliers bedecked with hundreds of candles...
Day 18 of #Shedvent: You walk across the snowy plaza, your feet almost soundless against the snow. Looking into the station, you hear the sound of music and see a single, long, unliveried train standing at a platform, with a piper playing beside it.
Day 17 of #Shedvent: You spend as long as you like in this place before returning to the present. And you leave with a gift: slipping the bauble into you pocket, you take with you the power to revisit this memory again and again, at leisure, whenever you need it.
Day 16 of #Shedvent: You reach out to touch one of the baubles on the tree - and the moment you make contact, you are flung into the past. A Christmas from many years ago, the happiest you can remember; with all your lost loved ones around you, and all the candles burning.

Hello Lovely Peeps! 👋

A (sadly overdue) reminder that @joannechocolat is here & continuing her daily Shed tweets - and more specifically her annual slowly-unfolding, story-telling #Shedvent tweets! 😃

If you know anyone else who is doing something similar (& sweet!), please post in the comments.

I'm seeing it on other platforms, but alas, not here yet. Hopefully only because I'm not following enough people. 😄
