Today's usual garden birdsong has been replaced by screaming myna birds perched at the top of the kowhai. They chased #ShadowCat home from the neighbour's lawn and are relentless in their fury. For his part, ShadowCat is now pretending to sleep, but his ears are all a-wiggle.
Every now and then, a tūī swoops in to see the mynas off, but they return within moments to continue their violent and vocal protest.

Finally got a sprayer that is equal to the quantity of weeds in my garden! #ShadowCat of course found the box irresistible!
Back from a long and unintended break! A month ago, my laptop hard drive died sometime between leaving home and arriving in the UK for #WorldFantasyCon. So I carried a deadweight around for the entire trip. When I got back, it took another almost 2 weeks to find someone to assess and repair the damage. This morning, my fully functioning Dell was returned to me and I'm delighted to report that almost nothing was lost in the process!

My neighbours spent the entire weekend working in their garden, banging, talking, shouting, pouring concrete etc. I was looking forward to some quiet today, but NO. There are chainsaws and crashing trees! #ShadowCat is very unhappy.
