David Burns🌹I've been spending a lot of time getting into #boots and particularly #workwear and #servicewear and fell in love with Thursday Boot Company only to recently learn that they're co-founder is aggressively anti-abortion and donated to Super PACs that actively helped turn over Roe v Wade.
Needless to say I'm pretty crushed, I only own one pair of Thursday but it will be my last and I cannot wait to have its sole replaced and logo removed after a few years.
I've not looked into the politics of other boot brands but a big contender to replace Thursday for me is #NPS #Solovair . while their construction isn't up to the same 'quality' components found in Thursday, if you like the punk and adjacent look of Dr Martens they are of course, the original makers of that storied boot! (Not to mention the Solovair Derby 8 eye in gaucho leather was the first pair of boot I've ever owned)
Also the rest of their offerings are pretty fantastic.
