Here’s the second (of three) in Scatter Archive’s releases from the female improvising trio Tiger Milk, this time playing alone on 10 of the 14 tracks, and four alongside the formidable Alan Wilkinson on soprano saxophone:

Tiger Milk with Alan Wilkinson - Leeds [1982+1983]

This is another exhilarating set of pieces from the groupings, with over 150 minutes of live pieces spread across two gigs from the early 1980s in Leeds. Liam Stefani’s Scatter label continues to unearth such welcome, priceless treasures from a near forgotten past of improvised music.

Another fantastic new download release on Scatter Archive:

Tiger Milk with John Russell - QuaQua [1982]

These are archival 43 year old recordings of the female trio Tiger Milk in various configurations with the late legendary improvising guitarist John Russell. Recorded at the Charteris Neighbourhood Centre, Islington, London as part of Russell's QuaQua events.

Tiger Milk were
• Susanna Ferrar (violin, voice);
• Annemarie Roelofs (violin, trombone, voice); and
• Josefina Cupido (drums, voice).

The release also includes two solo sets from Russell.

Liam Stefani’s label continues to uncover amazing historic improvised music. Well worth supporting with whatever payment you can afford.
