I was lucky enough to discover "Molar City" through a ad and then did my own research using the first video to figure out that this city on the edge of Baja California and 10 mins away from Yuma is relatively safe back my trip in April 2024.

Not sure how the root canal will treat me in the days to come, but at the moment I can at least say today is the first time in a week or more where the simple pressure of flossing between the crown tooth and its neighbor doesn't cause me pain. I'm pretty certain the assistant didn't get my bite right, though, which would mean more jaw agony in the days to come. I expressed my concern, and that my bite felt too high, but she blew it off and sent me home anyway. I cried on the drive home - mostly from the trauma of dental work because I hate it, but also from feeling completely dismissed and knowing if she is wrong and I am right, I'm in for a world of pain again.

If I do need a bite adjustment (again), I'm definitely going to ask my regular dentist to do it. They're leagues ahead in terms of compassion, comfort, and patient agency. I'll see them next week for a permanent crown, and boy do I hope that's all!
