The oldest Buddhist texts are probably the poetry written in archaic Ṛgvedic triṣṭubh & jagatī metres: most of the Sutta Nipāta, some of the Dhammapada (49, 100-115, 129-148, 151, 155-156, 179-180, 183-185, 197-200, 336-337, 360-361, & 400-423), some Theragāthā/Therīgāthā & Udāna, & the Itivuttaka.
