T'was a good meal out last night. I was fortunate enough to be parked at the end of the table, so I didn't have to talk to as many folx. Not that we're a big company -- only one employee didn't come, which meant there was 7 of us.

Having said that, we were out later than I expected and my brain started going into meltdown. But being able to tell spouse that I was stressed/annoyed/whatever took the edge off enough. Having said that, I *did* tell one person that it was past 9pm and that I was no longer obligated to be human. xD

And then my dumb ass made myself poorly in the car. I had a huge list of songs pop into my head for my 90s playlist in progress, so trying to scribble them down on my phone as fast as possible without it affecting me... I failed. But like, 16 more songs to the list. It's exciting.

Had an Etsy order to get out earlier, so that was pleasing. Stitch markers this time, which I sometimes forgot was where I started since I've not made any new sets in ages (besides the needle reminder ones).

Spouse pushed through the order for the new laptop earlier, so new toy soooon. Which makes me like, why am I starting new games when I'm going to be on a different computer soon? Having said that, there's every chance I'll just slot this into my third computer slot where my dinky HP lives neglected. I sometimes think about slapping Linux on it for science and seeing how it goes, but also knowing that I probably won't. Maybe I should see if anyone is interested in buying it. It's perfectly fine for office stuff, so. But it will need Linux or something of the like because it's not eligible for Windows 11, and that support has since flown.

Nothing fancy on the books today. I finished the pumpkin and got it packed up to ship out on Monday (probably). I've started on one for me now. Got a few lil chores to do, but mainly it's gonna be continuing on my delightful Hobbit-y bs, ha ha.

Had a fayre this morning... it did not go well. I didn't expect to get any/many sales, so that's fine. Main feeling of the moment is pre-exhaustion. I know I'm exhausted, but the full brunt of it hasn't crash landed. I'm sure it will sooner rather than later.

For now, gonna get more caffeine in me, and wander around Rohan in LotRO. *nodnods*

C'est le weekend, etc. We've got LotR on the telly to pair with LotRO on our computers, hee hee. I said to spouse that after we finish with Peter Jackson, we should swoop back to the cartoons from the 70s/80s, and then maybe that Amazon Prime show that cost ungodly amounts of money.

We are fortunate to be close to the other half of our semi (think duplex, Americans). S had messaged in our shared house group chat asking if we'd seen one of their cats. Which, bless, teen was out for their evening walk, so was able to snap a few pictures and confirm that he was alive. Then like, all of us on both sides poured out to confirm that yes, the cat existed, which extended into a lovely cross-house chat. B next door suggested that we finally go all out and get a monoyard going at the back, which, yes, good. The fence has been down since they had the extension put in, so it's just some hedges that we had pencilled in to pull out anyways. B also said that if we wanted to resod and actually have grass at the back again, he'd be happy to mow it. Win. I mean, we do have a mower, but any chores we can give a miss to... We'll see how it goes. The current tentative plan is to ask our gardener to quote for the work.

So yeah, good times. :)

The one downside of being off work is forgetting what day of the week it is. Which is my only excuse for completely forgetting to wash my hair yesterday, ha ha. It's done now, and I feel significantly more human.

That was the big thing that needed doing. I should also like, go get my key back from our neighbours finally. Poke at my blackberry bramble. Continue to otherwise be as low key as possible.

(so of course, I go out with a pot to pick berries, and then just mainlined them all directly into my face, ha ha. I only picked a few -- there are so many right now!)

Anyhoos. Back to being lump, if not in the way I wanted. The LoTRO servers are down for patching/maintenance until 6pm tonight, which, ruuuude, don't they know I'm off work and wanting to play again? *laughs*

Day one of new piercing: doing a lot better not accidentally hitting it today, ha ha. Obviously, it's still tender, and the right side of my face feels slightly tenser than my left, but all in all. :)

I had a dream about the idiot friend last night. I still miss him apparently, which, kind of rude, but whatever. I did tell spouse about it, because I knew his dislike of said person would make him chuckle. In the dream, IF came into where I was working, and I called out his name in shock. He looked at me, accused me of stalking him, and threatened to call the cops... which somehow, feels fitting with how things stand I guess. He got over it and we went back to being friends in the dream, but that fist bit... whew. *laughs*

Anyways.

Nothing on the agenda today. I really probably should try to do some social media posts about my disability pride goodies, but *gestures* exhausted potato. Let the potato rest.

Today we're going out for my youngest's birthday dinner; good thing it's hair washing day. But as we're going out sooner rather than later, I need to urge my hair to dry faster... which means lots of towelling. We have a hair dryer, but I haven't used one in a super long time... it's not my jam. I also don't like to brush my hair when it's wet, because it's more likely to snap strands (a stance my hairdresser neighbour backs up).

Past that, doing my best to be low key and restful. I'm definitely doing better than last week, but having said that, last week was a super bad week for the chronic stuffs. "Better" is a low threshold, but I'm still gonna celebrate ups.

What else... trying to convince my brain that doing dishes as soon as they're made should be a normal thing I do. I'm overcoming my brain having a period where I couldn't do dishes (and I still have to lotion as soon as my hands are wet/I think about my hands being wet). It's something I would like to do to help pick up the slack for spouse, since he's always had a wider wedge of the chores in support of my chronic fatigue.

Right. Should try to do some cross-stitching too. *nodnods*
