The perspective [8] mentions how the #WorldHealthOrganization (#WHO) "published a major report on the health impact of nuclear war and concluded that,

“It is obvious that the #HealthServices in the world could not alleviate the situation [resulting from a #NuclearWar] in any significant way.

Therefore, the only approach to the treatment of the health effects of nuclear war is #PrimaryPrevention, that is, the prevention of nuclear war” "

.@drjanetownson Agree. We need to remember that is a health AND social care system. In order to support the #NHS we need to focus on the wider system. Pressure on the NHS (ambulance times, A&E attendance and flow/discharge) are symptoms of whole system problems, not the cause.

Diagnostics essential but it's also about ongoing treatment/care management and then discharge from acute care. Close the loop to prevent readmissions. #PublicHealth #PrimaryPrevention #SecondaryPrevention #SocialCare
