#eBay #scam #money #listing #business #scammers #cash #poundnotes #auction #onlineauction Here’s another crazily priced eBay item up for sale. Everything in the description for this note’s wrong. It’s not pre-1952, and certainly not from the 1769-1852 era. As expected, eBay’s OK with it.
On this basis, would anyone like to buy the sock I found in my bedroom drawer a few days ago? With only one hole, it was worn by Napoleon at the battle of Waterloo, and the starting bid’s a snip at £37,000.

eBay’s losing the plot. These banknotes should be worth around £7 at the most, as they’re not particularly rare and in pretty poor condition. When I queried the ridiculous £20,086.70 price tag with eBay, their AI responded that everything was fine and above board, and it wasn’t an attempt at a scam.
AI… don’t you just love it?
