I've been watching some Pete & Pete, and it's just so good. The absurd existential humor never grows old.
Iggy Pop, Steve Buschemi, Luscious Jackson, Michael Stipe, Patty Hearst... even without a roster of impressive guest stars, The Adventures Of Pete and Pete remains one of the most beautifully surreal and subversive shows on American television.
The summer vacation episode is inherently relatable on a kid level, whilst being gently wistful on an adult level, all in one go. And you better believe I’ll beat up the ocean this summer to protest the end of the season!
