AGI - Giuseppe Tango è il nuovo presidente dell'Anm. La sua elezione è avvenuta per acclamazione. 43 anni, giudice del lavoro a Palermo ed esponente del gruppo di Magistratura Indipendente, è stato il magistrato il più votato alle ultime elezioni per il nuovo comitato direttivo dell'Anm, nel gennaio 2025. Ha fatto parte della Giunta esecutiva centrale guidata da Cesare Parodi, che appartiene alla sua stessa corrente, e di cui, oggi, diventa il successore.
In passato è stato presidente della Giunta sezionale dell'Anm di Palermo.
Voto e nomina del presidente Tango
Come previsto dallo statuto, il comitato direttivo centrale del sindacato delle toghe ha comunque votato per l'elezione del nuovo presidente Tango, che è avvenuta con 31 voti a favore e un astenuto (scheda bianca). La sua nomina è stata accompagnata da un lungo applauso dei colleghi.

"Quella giunta dai cittadini è una delega forte, ma non in bianco". Lo ha detto il presidente dimissionario dell'Anm Cesare Parodi, aprendo la riunione del direttivo, parlando della vittoria del No al referendum. "Proprio per questo - ha aggiunto - la vittoria è una responsabilità. Abbiamo chiesto fiducia, ci è stata concessa e dobbiamo meritarla adesso". Parodi ha rilevato che "il risultato del referendum ha aperto uno spazio di ascolto, ma questo spazio è destinato a chiudersi rapidamente se non verrà riempito da segnali concreti di rinnovamento. La vittoria ha riacceso la luce ma non ha pulito la stanza. C'è una straordinaria apertura di credito da parte dei cittadini, sta a noi meritarla, riconquistando credibilità, fiducia, trasparenza, professionalità e dimostrando di saperci autoregolamentare: se non lo faremo - ha concluso - avremo sprecato un'occasione storica".
