PaperShell, a Swedish deeptech startup, has secured 40.3M EUR in EU funding to build its first full-scale factory. The company makes a fossil-free composite material from layers of kraft paper and bio-binder that is stronger than plastic and lighter than aluminium. The material is already NATO-approved and used in construction, defence, electronics and transport.
