thunderbird should allow use of "device tokens" for any server able to handle them, code is in but used only for 365/gmail servers 😡

OAuth OIDC discovery support

Add support for RFC 7628 openid-configuration element in SASL reply. This would simplify adding any 3rd party oauth provider to #thunderbird and allow migrating from password authentication. The server side of this is implemented i  e.g. Dovecot IMAP server, see https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration...

On October 6, Microsoft released the 2023 edition of their “Digital Defense Report” - and for the first time ever, they dedicated an entire chapter in the report to collective defense. Not only that but it happens to be the longest and most substantial section of the report.
