@mogwai_poet Yeah, there's a beautiful book & game board, keyboard overlay, castle pieces that hide monster & Ring coins. One player sets up and punches in the scenario for each adventure. Without that, it's just a fight screen.

Same for World Conquest with magnetic world map & chips, and there's a financial game.

@mogwai_poet Also, the playfield being a 9x9 (IIRC) grid with cell on/off or left/bottom wall on/off, one color per line, meant so many maze games. Unlike the 2600, they could have a persistent, changing playfield, just kinda simplistic.

@mogwai_poet I loved that. The little guy & vehicle art is so iconic, I've reused them in some of my own games. Quest for the Rings only needs recolored guys, slashes & stars for the characters. Save the sprites for the monsters.

@vidak Have you played with either Atari VCS BASIC, or Odyssey^2 Computer Intro! ?

VCS BASIC is barely usable for anything, hard to enter with. Just not enough RAM.

O2CI had a thick ring-bound booklet that taught assembly language, with 99 bytes storage. Kinda cool, really, tho when I got it I was already programming real computers.

With this mod you can hookup an old Philips G7000/22 to a monitor / tv with a composite in connection..
Easy installation, no Soldering required.

I made my VideoPac G7000 Composite Mod compatible with the pin layout of the Modulator connector, so simply disconnect the connector from the modulator, plug the PCB into the connector where the connector of the modulator used to be.
