Xavier#Paris is continuing to reclaim public space for cycles and pedestrians with the end of the renovation of rue René Mouchotte (East of the Montparnasse railway station).
This noisy 6-lane stroad that was hazardous to cross is now a gentle pedestrianized street with benches, vegetation and a double-lane cycling path. One car lane remains in each direction, with traffic calming features and vegetation between cars and pedestrians.
