@filip_stadler I read Mumble's recommendation to implement the PTT functionality in a plugin. But that would have been significantly more complex than simply hacking the changes into the main branch.
I'm surprised that no one has written a plugin like this yet, the need is definitely there.
The latest changes to #mumbleRF are from 2020, which would fall into the Buster (10) era.
@filip_stadler mumbleRF is old, too.
I assume that various dependencies need to be updated for bookworm compatibility. #WiringPi is used as a library to access the GPIP pins, this can certainly be solved by using direct hardware access. But there are also unofficial WiringPi mirrors.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to adapt #mumbleRF to the regularly released new #Mumble and #RaspberryPiOS versions. Linux is constantly changing, with all its advantages and disadvantages.

Ich kann den Frust verstehen, auch ich bekomme regelmäßig Supportanfragen zu meinen GitHub-Projekten wo ich leider auch nicht bei jeder in eine tiefere Fehleranalyse einsteigen kann. Und meine Software ist völlig unbedeutend, da mag ich mir nicht ausmalen, wie das bei richtig beliebten Programmen aussieht.
