Manchester United defender Gabby George has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The 26-year-old was forced off nine minutes into her side’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday. She fell to the turf after chasing a loose ball and was carried off the pitch by two members of staff. George will undergo surgery and is set for an extended spell on the sidelines. Speaking at full time, manager Marc Skinner said: “I wouldn’t imagine it looks good. “We will look after Gabby. It didn’t look like a good one. I hope she is okay.”...
