Whew! With a huge amount of setting up and input from himself @withaveeay, I now have a working, SIMPLE accounting system (rather than the onerous spreadsheet I was using) so that come the end of the 1stQ of this financial year I am able to comply relatively easily with the new (and in my view, unwise) Making Tax Digital system of reporting to HMRC through a 3rd party.
We'll see what happens when it comes down to it, but I think we've done as much as we can to simplify things.
