@mohshbair Hi, today I will write you some more. đ I also like poetry.
In the Netherlands you can find mini libraries everywhere, in cities and in villages. I am attaching a few images from a search engine query. People build these wooden little closets to put books in them. People can take or bring books for free. Thanks to these little libraries I read a few books by writer Adriaan van Dis (van Dis was reading the poem Ode to Sadness by Ghayath Almadhoun to an audience of people. I saw that posted on Mastodon and that's where I learned about that poem). I already knew about van Dis from TV when I was a child and watching him at the progressive VPRO TV channel. One book I read by Adriaan van Dis, thanks to the little libraries, is about a dog in Paris and the connection to foreign worlds, mostly Africa. Later I learned that van Dis lived in Paris for some years. He would spend some time every day on a terrace drinking coffee and just listening to the sounds and watching the daily life in the neighborhood in Paris. That must have strenghtened his interest in other cultures.
