Camped out for a couple of days helping friends plant a few hundred native Irish trees. Mostly hawthorn, with some willow, oak, rowan, birch, and crab apple.

It was cool and showery at night. I didn't sleep much, but it was cosy. Heard a fox and about a dozen pheasants (or the same pheasant a dozen times), The crows kept watch during the day

If your supply of active hope is in need of replenishing, plant things.

Today Naas Biodiversity Group planted its third pocket forest, with 1,310 native trees:

🌳400 Whitethorn
🌳400 Birch
🌳170 Scots Pine
🌳150 Oak
🌳95 Rowan
🌳50 Hazel

A great sense of community spirit and #Meitheal 🌱
