#Luan, nach dem die Stadt auf Irisch/Gälisch benannt ist, war ein Mann, der die Menschen über das tückische Wasser des #Shannon führte, lange bevor es hier #Brücken gab. An dieser Stelle gründete er um 900 n. Chr. auch ein Gasthaus, das Reisenden Kost und Logie bot. Diese #gastliche_Stätte gibt es immer noch, sie heißt heute #Sean_s_Pub und ist, tatsächlich das #ältestes_Pub in #Irland.
So früh am Tag weden wir das Pub aber nur von außen begutachten und von da sieht es gar nicht so alt aus 😉
