Voraussichtlich im Februar 2024 müssen die Mitglieder des Europäischen Parlaments über das EU-Chile-Abkommen abstimmen. Attac und über 100 weitere Organisationen haben einen offenen Brief an die Europaabgeordneten geschickt, in dem sie sie auffordern, ihre Unterstützung für das Abkommen zu überdenken und dagegen zu stimmen.

Das EU-Chile-Abkommen gefährdert Mensch und Umwelt und schreibt neokoloniale Ausbeutungsverhältnisse fest. Es muss gestoppt werden!

If you ignore the effects of mining for coal, #lithum and cobalt, as well as CO2 emissions from burning coal, there is a possibility that these EVs might not be quite as bad for the climate as conventional automobiles.
