Cranked out a 5(4)-1(2) victory. Still in 1st in Elysium C.

Q1: Admittedly, not quite an instaget, but seeing (x,y,z) eventually made it obvious. Got it for 1, opp got it for 0 (an .870 career hitter in Math).
Q2: I live in Pittsburgh, I went to a Polish food counter last week, and I've never heard of this. No guess. Opp & I both missed for 2.
Q3: Instaget. Opp surprisingly missed for 1, I got it for 1.
Q4: Instaget - thank you Spanish IV! Opp got it for 1, I got it for 1.
Q5: Nope, MCW'd. Opp & I both missed for 2.
Q6: Thank you, high school me, for doing that deep dive into Monty Python so many years ago. That research made this an instaget for me...AND GOT ME A 3! OPP MISSED FOR 3! As Josh "Tiger" Hill says, "DOWNTOWN SPRINKES!"

Totally ate 💩 and lost 2(1)-7(4). I'm now 5-1-1 and in 2nd place in Elysium C.

Q1. MCW. I might've heard the city's name here or there but I would never have placed it. Mutual miss for 1.
Q2. Dammit. I didn't catch on that it was "The Pendulum". I put "Planck". Mutual miss for 1.
Q3: NFC. I knew that "fea" means "ugly", but would never have made the other connection. Opp got it for 2, I missed for 3.
Q4: Instaget. I somehow got it for 2; opp got for 0. Tie game so far.
Q5: DAMMIT. I ruled it out because "psy" was literally in the question. I put "eta". Opp got for 2, but I missed for 0.
Q6: Nope. Yogesh rule applied but failed - opp got it for 3.

Q1: It felt too easy and I spent a lot of time thinking if this was a trap. It wasn't. Got it.
Q2: Instaget.
Q3: Nope. Couldn't place her name at all. I guessed "Campbell".
Q4: Instaget.
Q5: Hmph. I thought it was a difference between two breeds of dogs and put "Bulldog".
Q6: Nope. Just guessed "Denzel Washington" and hoped for the best. Never saw the movie.

I did not deserve to win...yet I did, 3(2)-1(2). Three consecutive days of perfect defense? 🙀 I'm now 4-0-1 and in the top spot in Elysium C.

Q1: I guessed "White Mountains". Never heard of the answer. Opponent MISSED FOR 3. I missed for 1.
Q2: Dammit, I thought of the answer briefly but couldn't latch onto it. I put "Graffiti" even though I knew it was wrong. Both opp & I missed for 2.
Q3: DAMMIT! I thought of this one too! I threw out a guess of "The Killing Fields". Both opp & missed for 1. Still scoreless.
Q4: Instaget, although I left off the -o on the name; still got credit. Zeroes all around; 0(1)-0(1).
Q5: Dammit. I thought this was that one tournament where the USA just went off. Another dual miss for 2.
Q6: Instaget. I think Boozy Badger talked about this case before. Opp got it for 1, I got it...FOR 3 & THE WIN!

I won 7(4)-4(4). Two consecutive days of perfect defense! I am 3-0-1 and in 2nd place in Elysium C.

Q1: Instaget. Opp's Science score was very good; gave it a 0 and they got it. I got it for 1.
Q2: Almost instaget; thought of "Springbok" first and the next step was pretty easy. 1's all round.
Q3: Instaget. I learned recently that he married into the Walton Family (of Wal-Mart $FAME$). 2's all around.
Q4. NFC, but neither did they! They missed it FOR 3, I missed it for 2.
Q5. I botched it...but for 0! They only got it for 1 from a pretty good Film score.
Q6. I had an idea and went with it. In German & many Slavic languages, for example, an orange is called a "Chinese one". Got it FOR 3! Opponent missed for 2!

Q1: My first thought was Leo, but I remembered that Leo XIII was still in the end of the 19th Century. Then the correct answer hit me instantly. Got it for 2. I gave it 1; opp missed it.
Q2: It felt like the only logical answer. I was right. Got it for 1; opp got it for 0.
Q3: NFC. Missed for 2; opp missed it for 2.
Q4: Instaget. Anyone who watches enough British comedy shows (like me) will know this. Got it for 1; opp missed for 2.
Q5: Instaget. Pap Pap was a big fan of his. GOT IT FOR 3! Opp missed for 3! As Josh "Tiger" Hill says, "DOWNTOWN SPRINKLES!!"
Q6: Instaget. It's also a good Talking Heads album. Got it for 0; opp got it for 1.

Opp forfeited; 8(5)-0(F). I am 1-0-1 and in 7th place in Elysium C.

Q1: This was a good trap question; the MCW (Acre) got a 30% hit. I had to think about how much ~259 ha would be as a unit, and it seemed right.
Q2: Got it by process of elimination going through the list of presidents, given the age.
Q3: Took me a moment, but got there from "place".
Q4: Instaget. I remember there was a woman back in the 70's who swam between the two Diomedes as a political statement.
Q5: Took me a moment. The tagline was a giveaway, but I had a hard time believing it was all the way back in '97. Still picked it, correctly.
Q6: Nope. I saw "milling" and thought it was some ingredient, and I said "Canola oil".
