Good luck to everyone in #LearnedLeague Season 108. #LL108
My season in Elysium B begins Monday.
I finished in 2nd place in Rundle R70 in #LL107. I did my part, winning 9(6)-6(3), but the league winner got an anti-climactic forfeit victory. Still, that's Elysium B rundle for me in February.
I led the league in MPD, TMP, TCA, and 3PT. I also finished a perfect 11-11 in Geography, so that's a big personal win.
As Josh "Tiger" Hill says, "We go onward."
For those who don't follow my Bluesky, I've [finally] joined #LearnedLeague
I'm currently in Rookie Rundle Division 70 and standing in 2nd place with a record of 10-1-1 in #LL107. I'm in the top 3 in Total Match Points, Correct Answers, Match Points Allowed, and Correct Answers Allowed; as such, I'm comparing myself to the 1999 Rams and calling myself "The Greatest Show Against TERFs".
It's nice having a little competitiveness in my life again.
Not as much #LearnedLeague chat around here as I'd expect given the demographics. Hello to any fellow players anyway.
[NB This post is originally on Mastodon; I'm connected to more quizzers on BlueSky where this is automatically reposted, the comment is less relevant there.]
Did my Learned League championships round.
Man I enjoy LL but the procedural nonsense and the general attitude around it makes me want to autolobotomize
Well, that was a bit of a middling season for me. Strong (by my standards) TCA but some awful defence in the first week had me playing catch-up for the rest of the season. I ended up 22 out of 38 in C Oasis but, with better defensive play, that could've been 13th or 14th.
I ended up 183rd in the World Of Pop Music minileague, one silly mistake away from the top 100, and I'm pretty pleased with that! It was fun to take on a ML that played to my strengths but was still super challenging.
As I slowly gear up for my 1DS in July, I have to say writing #LearnedLeague
questions is harder than I thought.
Especially when your topic is so niche it doesn't even have a wikipedia page.
