We have been trying to help students think creatively about career paths with a degree in African & African Diaspora Studies. In the heat of this Senate run off in Georgia, we've partnered with the Cobb Democracy Center to place students in part-time positions as canvassers to help turn out the vote. This is a non-partisan voter participation project that illustrates the importance of culturally relevant intedisciplinary approaches in the "real world." #kennesawstateuniverity #BlackStudies
