Did you know, when you add a photo to mastodon, if you click on edit, and then grab the circle thingie and change the preview of your pic, it makes for better viewing in the stream? #IWTYO #TIL ##Catstodon

🤯Fun stuff I learned and want to share about #Mastadon
1) There is no algorithm that helps spread posts in Mastodon.
2) Reposting (i.e. “Boosting” ♻) is the best way to spread a post.
3) Liking (i.e. “Favoriting” ★) lets the poster know you liked or acknowledged the post, *BUT DOES NOT HELP OTHERS SEE IT*.
4) Hashtags are another great way to get posts to spread.
4.5) You can follow hashtags now! (Like #gaymastodon) for example
