OldGeeksGuideThe news media is awash with breathless articles about the detection by border inspectors of an ebony beetle, “corimelaena palmeri”, with a bunch of cut&paste articles from different outlets gushing about the amazing find but absolutely no info about what makes this interesting. Even Wikipedia has almost nothing to say about it. Any experts available to weigh in? Is it dangerous? Is it a new species? What's the deal?

a tribble, exactly that, though fortunately not able to reproduce anymore. I have been thinking I'd seen that thing before. Leave it to Starfleet's best Helmsman ever to identify this alien life-form.
