"It's a... Long story."
Gandhi sits down on the cave floor, arms supported on his knees.
"Svø cluecta, ye nem es Gonvetî.
"ZeroSky" se Pheno."

"You know, there once was a company. "ZeroSky" they called it.
Well.
Their little Hitmans they created are still out and about killing MatterWorks employees. And they are only getting stronger.
What you are experiencing is...
The last hitman.
ZeroSky itself.
Wait, did you notice that?"

Gandhi's ears shoot into the air and seem to listen for something. You hear a silent sound, like a capacitor rapidly charging.

"We might not be safe here after all"
You hear steps from a corridor in the cave. Metallic, but still pretty silent.
"They're here FUCK
Quick Take this"
Gandhi grabs an old age shotgun. It uses smokeless powder and a heavy slug to penetrate targets. In this case the slug is made from hydranium. He throws it towards you prompting you to clumsily catch it by its stock. A backpack full of ammunition follows.
"ZeroSky cannot be defeated with plasma weaponry, or weaponry at all. Its digital.it would quickly hack into your plasma weapons and destroy them. That's why we have to use old age Weaponry to keep them at bay"
Gandhi pulls his Katana, positioning himself right next to the entrance.

The cold suddenly fades. You feel hard ground below your rear, the air smells strange... Cave-like.
As you slowly open your eyes, you don't see much. It's dark, but your eyes quickly adjust to the light level of the candle-lit cave.
As you look in the other direction, you see Gandhi, carrying some medical supplies.
"Svoř repit usenples"

Gandhi comes closer and closes a wound on your arm with a few quick stitches, before putting a pair of glasses onto you.
They are smart glasses that can translate Hyderian Draconian on the fly.
"Glad I found you in time. Even if, barely...
Hope you are able to understand me now? The glasses should also give you an audible output."
Gandhi stitches the rest of some of your deeper wounds, before laying one of his hands on your thigh

"Sorry, this might hurt a bit, I have to mend your broken femur"
You feel a painful sensation in your entire leg, as lime arcs travel through it from Gandhi's claws. You can see the leg repositioning to its original position right then and there, before the pain suddenly stops.
Wasn't half bad.
"There you go. Tell you if you feel any pain now. No? Alright."
Gandhi wraps a bandage around some damages of his own, disinfecting his woulds with some rubbing alcohol.

MATTERWORKS

The tape resumes playing.
You are sitting at a desk.
You recognize the laptop in front of you, it was the one Bash found next to the elevator.
Suddenly the power turns off.
It's the sixth time today, since the Fusion core's mechanic is on vacation this week.
Gandhi.
He's the only one that knows how the Fusion core works and how to fix it.
He's been repairing it for the last thirty years. He built it. Can't blame him for needing a vacation after all this time.
You close your laptop and get up from your desk, walking towards the auxiliary power switch to turn on the diesel generators.
It's dark outside as the sun has already set, the solar panels won't work.
The fluorescent tubes blink back to life, glowing with a slight flicker from the generator.
The UPS units the Pc's have been attached to stop beeping as the power is restored.
That darn Fusion Core.
You pull up the blueprints another time, maybe you can figure something out.
But it's useless.
Neither do you know what could be broken, nor can you read Gandhi's draconic writing.
Dragons.
The only species able to create such complex machinery.
They have been studying it for millenia.
You get your hopes up as you hear the water rushing through the pipes above you, it's the Core's cooling system, but it rapidly stops again with a resounding THUNK
should you try and call him?
You have been friends since you first met him...
He was laying in a crater, left being by what was assumed is a meteor, but actually, was some sort of spaceship.
You had quickly hidden the evidence of the actual ship, the wreckage is still stored in your basement.
At the time you found him his nerves were critically damaged, but he somehow... Healed himself. A strange device, "Imnature"
Connected to one if his pcb-trace like fur patterns.
In general, Gandhi's fur was not ordinary.
It was highly conductive but at the same time highly resistant to outside voltages, almost like Gandhi has his own self adjusting potential.

You were 16 at the time.
You snap back to your seat and notice the power went out again.
If only the fucking generators would run smoothly.
There have been hiccups for the entire last week.
You are Happy that he'll be back tomorrow at least.
You slouch into your chair and think about what you can do. Should you just go to sleep? It's already 10PM after all

Next to you, some kind of...
Rift... forms out of thin air.
A lime green electric lightning, Just standing in midair
It gets bigger, before ripping open, dropping out a familiar Gray and lime green dragon.
Gandhi.

"Wait, let me take care of this, the system is not supposed to be operated this way
Gandhi gently shoves you away
"As much as I appreciate your effort, user, I have a faster way"

Gandhi forms a rectangle between his thumbs and index fingers, before pulling as them apart diagonally.
From the tips if his fingers, a Lime green bolt of plasma creates a rectangle floating in midair. It has text written on it, also in plasma. It seems to be some kind of terminal.

"Velocity modifiers to 25%..
Timeline manipulator to 0...
Zerogate simulator... Off
Astral plane connection... Don't need it
Save configuratio-"
You hear loud beeping.
The Plasma-terminal shows:
Please insert simulation core
It has am arrow, pointing towards the bulb socket.
