draft - is there an instance of mastodon that has an open central search function - I get that many communities don't want it by design, but there has to be many communities that *do* want it by design.

Here's my manual workaround for the lack of Quoted Toots (QTs):
1. Copy link to original post (OP).
2. Click Reply on OP.
3. In the edit box, insert link on 1st line and 👆(indicating "see toot above") on second line.
4. Then enter your commentary in the edit box.
5. Click Publish!
6. Click Boost on the OP.
