@lifewithtrees @makingconnections I will never forget, not in a bitter way, but in a mindful way, in a grateful I'm not still there way, my ex-husband mocking me when I attempted to take a pic from a similar angle, not with trees but with tulips. It meant that how I saw the world was not valid, is free to be mocked, and that he got to decide what valid was for me.
Good golly, the things I did not understand.
But now I do.
@lifewithtrees I learned how to say no to even good things that kept me from the best things. My heart is more at rest, and less full of striving to please somebody so they won't reject/abandon me.
