someone on the design team for #xlov's #IGod album packaging is feeling a right tit, I'm sure.
the concept is that if you buy all 4 regular variants of the I, God album, you can place them together to make a chess board. and then the special edition has chess pieces in it.
welp, they've stuffed it. if the cases are placed with the borders around the outside, there's no way to arrange them so that it makes a proper checkered pattern.
whoops.
Insights I got from watching #xlov #iGod reactions
1. The chess board comes directly from the preface to the album "The Rules" where they say that the pawn is the weakest piece on the board but if it goes straight forward it will reach the end and can be anything it wants to be.
2. The lights at the end evoke the Lesbian flag.
3. Each one is dressed as a chess piece.
