Over the past few months, #iEPB_eu has continued progressing towards its main objectives, supporting more consistent and efficient implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders.

#iEPB_eu project actions and key exploitable results aim to be meaningful for stakeholders, and technically and financially viable. For this reason, three pilot ecosystems will be leveraged, ensuring the engagement of representatives from relevant agents and the involvement of key agents.

In this way, iEPB will build evidence for further exploitation at the EU level.

At the recent “CLIMA 2025 – Practical Pathways to EPBD IV Implementation” workshop in Milan, #iEPB_eu emerged as a standout initiative accelerating innovation in building performance assessment across Europe.

Represented by Eva Lucas Segarra (IVE) and Andrei Vladimir Lițiu (EPB Center), the project showcased its integrated approach to harmonizing Energy Performance Certificates, Smart Readiness Indicators, Renovation Passports and Life Cycle Assessment.

Recently, the project has focused on developing a common data model and tools. The iEPB common data schema is finalised, and efforts are underway to implement it in EPC software across the pilots in Spain, the Netherlands, and Austria. The design and development of the iEPB web app have also begun.
