Not long ago I stumbled on Dave Eddy's http server written in #bash
I wondered if I could fork it into a #gopher server, so I fiddled
with his script and came up with this:

one of the things I love about Chawan is that when you hit ":" when viewing a .txt file, it instantly converts urls into clickable links.
I now think that my strategy of using gophermaps for all phlog entries to obtain clickable links in posts is wrong, because it's not the servers fault if the client is dumb.
Changing it all back will be a big task, but it will happen.
This will probably make purists throw up their hands in disgust, but I was playing with Chawan css this morning just to test the possibilities.
I'm running Chawan in Ghostty with JetBrains Nerd font, on a 13 year old laptop.
No gopher files were mistreated in the making of these pictures, it's purely the rendering in Chawan.
I'm running the Gophernicus gopher server and I was wondering how to write spartan:// and gemini:// links in a gophermap.
