In 2023 I started a project, where people could tell me their ideas, visions and wishes of a positive and sustainable future, and I made illustrations of these ideas. The project is called »Zukunftsbilder« (future images) and since I started it, I collected many future ideas, and illustrate them whenever I find some time.

I have the feeling that many people find it difficult to imagine a positive future or are even afraid of change. But I think that it is important to dream and to think of a better world, and to question the world as it is now. Having an idea of how wonderful the future could be, can be inspiring to get into action for change, it can create a sense of community and self-efficacy.

I thought, it might be a nice idea to post these future images from time to time. Maybe the images cheer you up a bit or give you an inspiration for your own ideas of the future. So here comes the first idea: Anna is asking: »What would happen if there was no more deforestation?«
