Sometimes when it snows, and it's cold enough, the snow is fresh and soft, and while it's terrible for making any snow sculptures, it does something magical. It quiets the sounds all around, and makes everything so much quieter. Some find it serene, and tranquil; a precious opportunity to focus.

Some find it eerie, and the silence fosters a primordial terror not so different to walking upstairs from a dark basement, feeling the hair on the back of your neck quirk up, fighting an urge to sprint the remainder of the distance between you and perceived safety beyond that door left slightly ajar.

What if that door isn't even the same door? What if it's a door you've never seen before? Only appearing in the corner of your eye. The fact that its appearance coincided with your visceral fears is probably something to think about later, once you have reached safety, right?

This is one of my drafts for a decorative futomomo. I never got around to polishing it up. I guess this technically makes this a #BehindTheScenes post?

The stem needs more twists between the bands to keep things stable but I like the vibe. Adding more tension to the bands will help cement the cage too.

I like the different perspectives this can provide. It can be read as diverging rays being lensed at the stem. Or convergence as the strands escape the gravity of the stem, or diverging strands as they fall into the twisted gravity of the stem. #NotLikeOtherCages

Ok, so this is a scene puzzle. There are no specific right or wrong answers, and I am curious what some of you might do in a particular scenario.

In line with my goal to post more #Bloopers here is a #Futomomo that I messed up a bit. It was late and I was sleep deprived already. I didn't properly cinch my bands and so I ended up with this slack. This is also during a week after I had been running on a calorie deficit (I forget to eat when I'm stressed) and my measurements can vary dramatically week to week which is kinda wild. Anyway, eepy brain no compute proper guesstimate for tension.

Given all the things that could go wrong when one isn't paying attention, having something be too loose is a best case scenario. Especially with a tie like this since the core frictions on the inner stem are stable so it's still usable for suspension.

One can fit so many buzzwords in a description and I have to restrain myself from becoming too silly. Morning Glory flowers and Moonflowers do actually have psychotropic effects (seeds and nectar) so you can seriously get dizzy and giddy feasting on all the word play contained within.

Mid tie, I had realized I forgot to grab the correct lengths so I was left with a long extension. This is also why I didn't end up completing the tie on this side. That would probably require two hands to do it "properly".

When people first learn to do good #Futomomo ties, they inevitably land on this position or something similar. It's rather convenient, but to maintain it for an extended period, the rope has to be tied with some skill, and the rope top and bottom need to remain alert as usual.

I highly recommend _not_ doing this on a hardwood floor because kneecaps are nice to have. I have decently strong support muscles, and I still don't like staying in this position on a floor for very long. I was really just reaching for my water after a walk/crawl from my cozy spot of the room.

Just a simple #Futomomo but with mood lighting! The inner part of my favorite style is usually done with hitches, and I'm always tickled by how they look like little hands grabbing the bands. Then again, my inner thigh _is_ sensitive so they're just helping keep it snug.

I work a bunch with other people when doing #RopeBondage but I also do self ties, and sometimes I do self ties with people around that can take better pictures. I have some of those in a queue to post once I figure out what I want to write with them. I feel it's important to ensure people know that #AccessibilityIsHotAF so even if it's not super steamy, I'll sprinkle something in there every time.
