#flashprog v1.5 is ready ⚡ grab the source and flash your #firmware!

This release supports the newest Intel and AMD chipsets. The latter, mostly read-only, alas. Plus a bunch of other changes, see the full release notes:

@talpa don't know why that would be. It depends on the full command line and circumstances, though.
For instance, when #flashprog sees that the flash content is identical to the image to be written, it would skip both writing and verification.

Can it really be true that #flashprog can't program a region (using a layout file) and perform a verify operation of it without reading the entire SPI flash before staring the write?

If yes is there another (command line) program for Linux (using spidev) that can?

What is this #Flashprog project? I only know #flashrom.

Did Flashprog fork flashrom?
