Are serial writers wrongly ascribed inhuman cunning and intelligence, like serial killers? Do they have favored demographics? 
But yeah, I have written in serial form posting as I go when I wrote #fanfic. There's even a #FinalFantasyVIII fic I started in 2005 and finished in 2021, after a hiatus of 11 years xD https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2425600/10/The-Fall
I can't see myself doing serials again because I'm largely out of the fanfic game and can't even finish reading modern million-word serials, much less write them. They have a special charm, though, in being able to garner feedback and excitement in real time. Writing fanfics in serial form introduced me to writing as a communal activity rather than a solitary one and that's been integral to my development as a writer.
