@ridge The way the Final Fantasy XI PlayOnline Viewer (launcher) opened on the first try on my most recent attempt to get the game working.

lmao, PlayOnline is the true first boss of XI. :P

I just published a guide on how to set up Final Fantasy XI on Linux, using nothing but the raw power of your bare hands.

I also wrote a script you can run, which makes a shortcut to the game in your application launcher. Complete with right-click options.
Please don't look too hard inside it, I'm new to this. Teehee.

The idea is to eventually make a full auto-installer script that takes care of everything, from downloading the game to creating a .desktop file.
