The OVC-Big South Football Association is rebranding back to the OVC name and logo beginning this season, the league announced.

The conference has 8 combined members: 2 from the Big South (Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb) and 6 from the OVC (Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, SEMO, Tennessee State, UT Martin, Western Illinois). #FCS

Last month, the FCS Oversight Committee adopted NCAA Division I Proposal No. 2026-22, modifying the final date for a postseason game to the second Monday in January (Jan. 11 this season).

It won’t be final until the DI Cabinet’s review in its June 23-24 meeting. #FCS

In 2023, Idaho was favored by 3 points over Nevada and won 33-6.

In 2024, Montana State was an 11.5-point favorite (!!!) at New Mexico, the biggest FCS over FBS favorite since 2013. MSU won 35-31.

I think MSU will be at least a 3.5-point favorite over Nevada this year. #FCS

As I'm diving more into rosters, I formed an early preseason #FCS Top 15.

I don't expect Tier 1 to be very big this fall, which has been the case for the last 10 years, but I'm intrigued with Tier 2. I think several playoff teams will be better in 2026.
