West Florida is hosting a press conference at 11 a.m. local time today to make this official. It'll grow the UAC to 8 football members and the FCS to 128 members. #FCS

This has been in the works in recent weeks, from what I’ve heard, as UAC teams try to solidify some scheduling. We’ll see if/when this gets finalized.

While some recent D2-to-FCS moves made you scrunch your nose, this would be a good one. West Florida won the 2019 D2 national championship and has gone 46-13 in the last 5 seasons. Recently broke ground on stadium renovations. #FCS

The 2027 Vegas Kickoff Classic between Montana State and NDSU is still set to be played Labor Day Weekend, both schools announced today.

Both schools will receive a $1.25 million guarantee, plus potentially some ticket revenue. It is now an FCS vs. FBS game.

South Dakota State and Montana will face off in Las Vegas in 2029. #FCS

There are 4 MVFC teams that I expect to be in the playoff mix that currently have 11 games scheduled -- Illinois State, SDSU, SIU, and YSU.

SIU sounds set at 11 games. But I'm curious if 1) The others get a 12th game filled, and 2) If they can get it filled with a D1 opponent. If not, that could hurt playoff resumes, as it is one less opportunity for a D1 win in a 12-game season. #FCS
