1) if you're even halfway good at criming (you probably aren't) proving your felony is gonna be a yuge pain in the ass for them.

2) by comparison, proving you spoliated the fuck out of the evidence is gonna be a piece of cake. Federal prosecutors (amazingly) are human; they LOVE cake.
