Fa 26 anys vaig fer la ruta Buenos Aires - Colonia de Sacramento amb un ferry de Buquebus.

Desde llavors fa que segueixo la planificació i construcció del #electricferry Chinita Zorrilla.

Finalment va ser "botat"... Fluctua 😉

26 years ago I took the Buenos Aires - Colonia de Sacramento ferry from Buquebus with Graciela Marques dos Santos Fleischhacker. Since I knew the "Chinita Zorrilla" #electricferry was being built to do that exact trip I have been following the construction. A lot of renders, stats, technical details over the years later... Jan Rosenow shares its launching with us. All archipelagos should stop burning fuel or gas. #EV #History

Going fully electric, that ferry slashes emissions big time while dropping fuel costs, but those massive batteries and tech upgrades gotta hit the wallet hard upfront. Still, it’s the future route, no doubt.

switchin from LNG to full electric probs slashes emissions big time, which is cool, but those battery packs gotta cost a bomb to maintain and replace. still, for harmin' the planet less on that Buenos Aires-Uruguay run, it’s def a step forward despite higher upfront ops costs.
