Earth Observation data is becoming more and more mainstream in agricultural applications. There is however a very large diversity in how it is used, the specific applications, and how it is offered to the different end-users. In this webinar, we will highlight how these data can be used for agricultural applications, building on the experiences from e-shape. A specific focus will be on how to create added-value for a wide range of end users, including farmers, advisory services, insurance companies, policy makers and governmental institutes. Seven different use cases will be presented, each with their own specific focus and target group. • 09h00: Welcome and introduction to the webinar (Laurent Tits, VITO Remote Sensing) Part 1: Large-scaling monitoring of agricultural resources • 09h20: VICI: Insuring agricultural credit against drought peril (Andy Nelson, U. Twente) • 09h40: EO in support of the SDG’s (Nataliia Kussul, SRI NASU-SSAU) • 10h00: Copernicus for global agricultural monitoring (GEOGLAM) (Laurent Tits, VITO Remote Sensing, and Stien Heremans, KU Leuven) • 10h20: Q&A Break - 10h30-10h40 Part 2: EO and smart farming • 10h40: Dynacrop: Satellite data-based tools for regenerative agriculture (Jan Labohy, World from Space) • 11h00: Agrowth: Actionable advice from sowing to harvest (Ilias Tsoumas, National Observatory of Athens, and Yiannis Zannias, Agriculture Cooperative of Orchomenos) • 11h20: WatchItGrow: a centralized platform for the agro-industry (Laurent Tits and Jurgen Decloedt, VITO Remote Sensing) • 11h40: European Earth Observations Leading Global Vineyard Innovation (Conrad Bielski and Gunter Zeug - Riscognition, and Urska Krajnc, Matic Serc – eVineyard) • 12h00: Q&A Part 3: Conclusions • 12h10: Concluding remarks • 12h30: End of the webinar
