This was Drumochter Pass yesterday afternoon, taken from the Inverness-bound bus.
We passed a group of marksmen heading up the hill, and made sure they were happy with our intended route. Not recreational shooters who'd paid thousands for a day's "sport", but professional marksmen with serious kit out culling the deer.

Day out with Moray yesterday, 2 Munros at Drumochter, Geal-chàrn and A'Mharconaich, with a mixed day of weather.
12 years ago Geal-chàrn was Moray's first ever Munro, today was probably his 4th time up here.

Pretty bad on the A9 headed south going up Drumochter - we sat queued in falling snow for about thirty mins before turning our little car around for fear it wouldn't have snow clearance if we waited much longer. Traffic sitting on the road for miles, back past Dalwhinnie. Forty minutes later, the season's most hard-earned gingerbread latte. Stay safe out there folks!
