New Year's Eve went okay-ish for this dog. Last walkies outside was around 10pm. He slept or dozed away happily at our feet under the table, demonstrating a clear preference for dog owners (he knew whom to pick for feet warming). Before and after midnight most of the party was noisier than the fireworks outside. Familiar faces all around, new friends and friendly kids, everyone was kind and he took the buzz with calm and stayed true to his self overall. The next day he sure needed extra rest, as did we. We treated #MalteTheDog to a longer walk on New Year's Eve - in order to get some fresh air and to make him a little extra tired before the booms and bangs of the night. (Spoiler alert, it worked well.) What also worked was the natural light magic that afternoon - the four photos are #nofilter, the afternoon was almost magical pastel coloured. Also, the swans who live at this tiny beach were not too aggressive, and the flock of crows overhead made a fuzz.
