Been a long day and a long week and we sat down tonight and researched buying ourselves a new camera as a treat. Found a good price for an S9 at DigiDirect and went through the shopping cart, but then they added an extra fee for delivery even though they won't let me pickup at the store 400m away. Seemed odd. Waste of $9. Then on the following page they suddenly add an extra $20 "handling fee" in addition to their delivery fee.

At this stage I think they're just being rude. I closed the tab and saved myself a bit of money by not buying anything at all. 100% discount!

I think some companies are just too arrogant. I would hate to work for a company like that. Also you can see why I have such a good capacity to squirrel away my savings because invariably the act of spending money online makes me incredibly cranky.

If you’re Australian and suddenly getting a heap of scam/phishing emails using “Netflix unsubscription” as the hook, it could be the Digi Direct breach data suddenly being abused (it is definitely digidirect in my case).
