While this looks really spectacular, the effect is caused by the window that I took it through. The surface is all scratched and that's what causes this amazing starburst effect.

@GirlInSpace So, if one had a circular primary mirror and could hold secondary mirror without struts (via magnets?) one could theoretically completely remove #diffractionspikes ?
